Blue-and-white Flycatcher オオルリ
The Blue-and-white Flycatcher is a beautiful migratory songbird known for the male’s deep blue upperparts, white belly, and dark face. In Japan, it is especially admired for its clear, rich song and is often heard in mountain forests during spring and summer.
This bird usually perches quietly before flying out to catch insects in the air. It prefers wooded valleys, forest edges, and streamsides, where males often sing from high branches during the breeding season.
