The Japanese Rock Ptarmigan is one of Japan’s most precious alpine birds. It is a subspecies of Rock Ptarmigan and is endemic to Japan, surviving mainly in the high mountains of central Honshu. It is strongly associated with the Japanese Alps, especially alpine zones with dwarf pine, rocky slopes, and high mountain vegetation.For your map: do not mark all Japan.
